Logistics Manager

Scoochie Pet Products Corp. has an opening for a Logistics Manager in Huntington Station, NY.
The position duties are as follows: Manage the day-to-day operational functions of Scoochie Pet Products
Corp with a focus on logistics management, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products while
overseeing internal affairs to maintain financial stability and growth. Day-to-day job duties include the
following:
● Oversee all aspects of the organization's international logistics to ensure timely delivery of
products. This includes managing relationships with vendors and manufacturers and developing
strategies to minimize shipping delays and costs.
● Work with regulatory bodies such as the FDA to ensure all animal products meet safety and quality
standards. Stay updated on regulations and guide the company through compliance processes,
handling any regulatory issues that may arise.
● Oversee the company’s quality assurance protocols to ensure all products meet company
standards and customer expectations. Regularly review product quality and customer feedback
to make continuous improvements.
● Maintain effective communication with business partners, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Provide guidance to ensure alignment with the company's objectives, especially regarding
supply chain management and customer satisfaction.
● Oversee warehouse operations, with regards to logistics fulfillment. Ensure clear roles and
responsibilities within a chain of command to support operational efficiency and employee
engagement.
● Proactively anticipate client needs and develop strategies to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Oversee customer service approaches to ensure the company's operations consistently meet
client expectations for quality and timeliness.
Role will supervise approximately five (5) subordinate employees performing the role of Warehouse
Associates (53-7065.00 -- Stockers and Order Fillers). Supervision involves oversight only, NO hire/fire
authority.
Role will involve intermittent domestic and international travel for business needs and partnership
developments, which would amount to more than several days but less than sixty (60) days per year.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain
Management, Operations Management, a related field, or foreign equivalent followed by three (3) years
of experience in a logistics, supply chain management, or operations management role involving
international trade. Experience must include:
1. Three (3) years of experience working directly with manufacturers of pet products.
2. Three (3) years of experience with logistics involving the imports of pet products into the U.S.
from countries such as China, Turkey, Sweden, Brazil, Mexico, and Germany.
3. Three (3) years of experience with international shipping logistics involving the management of
large container shipments.
4. Three (3) years of experience with logistics planning, costs, and execution of transporting bulk
goods across international borders.
5. Three (3) years of experience utilizing knowledge of FDA regulations pertaining to animal
products.
6. Three (3) years of experience ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, managing necessary
disclosures, and navigating the complexities of importing animal-related goods into the U.S.
7. Three (3) years of experience effectively managing and optimizing supply chains to ensure
efficient operations.
8. Three (3) years of experience forecasting, allocating resources, and contingency planning to meet
delivery timelines and reduce disruptions.
9. Three (3) years of experience modeling and predicting delivery timelines accurately, and ensuring
reliable supply chain operations and timely delivery to customers.
Offered Wage: $117,333/year
